How to convert/burn MPEG to DVD playable in DVD player?
Part1:Firstly,some knowledge about MPEG.
What' MPEG?
Short for Moving Picture Experts Group, and pronounced m-peg, is a working group of the ISO. The term also refers to the family of digital video compression standards and file formats developed by the group. MPEG generally produces better-quality video than competing formats, such as Video for Windows, Indeo and QuickTime. MPEG files previously on PCs needed hardware decoders (codecs) for MPEG processing. Today, however, PCs can use software-only codecs including products from RealNetworks, QuickTime or Windows Media Player.
MPEG algorithms compress data to form small bits that can be easily transmitted and then decompressed. MPEG achieves its high compression rate by storing only the changes from one frame to another, instead of each entire frame. The video information is then encoded using a technique called Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT). MPEG uses a type of lossy compression, since some data is removed. But the diminishment of data is generally imperceptible to the human eye.
Part2:How to convert mpeg to dvd and burn mpeg to dvd?
What you need is MPEG to DVD Burner,it can convert and burn mpeg to dvd.
Step 1. Install and launch MPEG to DVD Burner.
Step 2. Add mpeg files. Click on Load Video button or select "Load Video" option under the "File" drop-down menu to add mpeg files. Drag and drop loaded videos to storyboard below to organize slideshow.
Step 3. Edit videos(Optional). Select a mpeg file in storyboard and click on Edit selected video file button to crop, trim, add watermark, plug in subtitles or adjust video effects, according to your specific request.
Step 4. Select transition effects. Click on Transition button at the top middle. There you have 60+ transition effects to choose from. The right window will display the visual transition effect by randomly clicking on the effect. If you want to apply it, you may just simply drag and drop the selected transition effect to the between of two videos in the storyboard.
Step 5. Edit DVD menu.
Click on Menu button to edit your DVD menu. There are various styles of built-in menu templates. Apart from menu templates, there are also many kinds of Fames, Buttons and Text in the drop-down list for you to choose from. You may double click the selected template, frame or button to apply it. Moreover, you could add text, customize background image and music to personalize your DVD menu.
Step 6. Preview
Finished the entire editing, you may click on Preview button to preview the slideshow.
Step 7. Burn MPEG to DVD.
Click on Burn button to burn MPEG to DVD. Before burning, you may select your output options: DVD disc, DVD folder, or ISO file. Also, please set the aspect ratio, etc.
