Then vs. now
Here's a quick hit from the magic nostalgia box first introduced a couple of days ago. I got the earliest versions of Photoshop and Illustrator I had running in a virtual machine (on System 7.5.3, if you must know), because I thought it'd be fun to see how the programs looked in 1994 as compared to the freshly-unleashed CS3 versions. Pictures speak louder than words, but one comment I did want to make is that I found it quite cool that the same sample images that shipped with the 1994 versions still work fine today. I'm not sure why that should be at all surprising, but with how much things have changed and the relentless march forward of data formats, I was expecting to have trouble opening such ancient images. Silly me. Anyway, enough yakking:
