Windows Pick: TaskSwitch XP Pro

Never one to leave our Windows-bound friends in the cold, today's free/cheap software pick falls into the free category, and it addresses the lameness of XP's built-in Alt+Tab functionality. TaskSwitch XP Pro is a fantastic utility that completely takes over your Alt+Tab keystroke, replacing the native version with a highly customizable and highly useful version.

TSXPP (as I shall call it) allows you to control how it displays previews, gives you several "themes" which assume the look of your currently applied Windows theme, lets you assign shortcuts to show a list of all windows or windows within the current application, perform operations on applications in the list (quit, sort, get info), and more. As primarily a Mac user, I've found TSXPP is somewhat Expose-like in that I can assign a mouse button to trigger the keyboard shortcuts for both the Applications and Instances lists, which will give me a previews of whatever windows I have floating about at any given time.

So what are you waiting for? Go grab it right now and make XP just a bit nicer.
