Google goes off-line
Google's new "Google Gears" allows developers to build on/off-line solutions. There is no reason why you can not extend your Flash/Silverlight/Ajax solutions to use Google Gears. The concept is great. Gears is really a local version of SQLite the runs on your browser. When you connect to a solution that is Gear enabled you can cache data locally. The idea is that you can go "off line" and still have access to your online content. Think of all those RIA solutions you want to develop that required connection to the Internet - now they don't.
A great example of the potential of Google Gears will likely be Google Docs. Something I was wondering is whether or not Google Gears will run on the iPhone - now that would be very cool!
