Apple Pro Training Final Cut Studio DVD tutorial: Review
The Apple Pro Training Final Cut Studio DVD tutorial, that comes with in the FCS2 box.
Having watched the DVD, I have found it worthwhile watching, but I wouldn't go as far as calling it a tutorial DVD.
If anything I would call it a guided tour.
While it is presented in manner that you would see in the training titles from lynda.com or totaltraining.com, amongst the many there are.
The navigation menu for the DVD, is similar to any normal DVD you would buy in the shops.
Each application in the Final Cut Studio 2 package, has a whole section dedicated to it, and upon clicking upon the application you wish to see more about, you are taken to another sub menu, which gives you a choice features to see.
Also included on the disc, are iPod video compatible files of the same content found on the DVD.
I don't have a iPod capable of playing these file so I've not been able to compare the quality of them.
But if you were expecting a training DVD, of the same type that you would find from the site I mentioned above, you will be disappointed.
But I could see it being a useful tool to show people the features that come with Final Cut Studio 2.
