SIGGRAPH 2009 : NVIDIA flexes their Plex

NVIDIA unveiled new breakthrough Quadro Plex solutions targeted at
scalable visualization professionals who interact with 3D models and
analyze large volumes of data.



You may have heard talk about this at last year's SIGGRAPH in Los
Angeles, or even at NVIDIA's booth at NAB in Las Vegas earlier this
year, but it's the 3D computation that professionals in New Orleans
this week are looking for.   



If the theme Time Is Money mocks your slow previs of GPU renders - 
check these monsters out at booth #2101.  Starting at just under
$11,000 this is muscle for the biggest 3D beasts in the shop.  But
after all - - you're a pro.... and your scenes are probably ginormous.

Quadro Plex-based solutions enable professionals in fields such as energy exploration, architectural design, medical research and consumer packaged goods to seamlessly run any software application across multiple ultra-high resolution displays or projectors, facilitating accurate and timely decision making.

These flexible solutions are built on the award-winning NVIDIA Quadro Plex visual computing system, featuring two Quadro FX 5800 GPUs and 8 GB of memory. By connecting two Quadro Plex systems to a single workstation, users can view images at a resolution of 36 megapixels, span visuals across two 4K projectors or eight auto-synchronized displays, and drive stereoscopic 3D content for a truly immersive experience.

Available from NVIDIA partners such as Cyviz and IGI-two firms that design and deploy state-of-the-art collaboration and visualization centers worldwide-Quadro Plex scalable visualization solutions power environments where high resolution images and real-time data feeds are seamlessly blended for training, simulation and operations monitoring.
