PRESENTATION GUEST ARTIST: RAFI SIMONIAN / NAU
Presenting work from the Nau project archive along with a walkthrough of our process on select projects. Following that Raffi will speak on the reasons for opening Nau and his thoughts on the contribution traditional graphic design can make to the furthering of motion graphics and live-action.
Raffi Simonian is the Executive Creative Director and founder of Nau. For the past several years Raffi has worked on many main title designs for film and television as well as countless commercials and broadcast projects. Raffi recently directed main title and show packages for both the 2007 and 2008 MTV Movie Awards. His work has been seen on television in ads for Hewlett-Packard, Motorola, and Verizon, among many others. In 2008, he directed live-action and animation for Lexus at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show. He also served as Creative Director for graphics and packaging on the 78th Academy Awards. His work in print is reflected in his creative direction for Vogue Italia and photographer Steven Meisel, October 2005
