Bruce Nazarian @ SF Cutters
If you're in Las Vegas or Los Angeles, you have more opportunity to see
Bruce Nazarian speak at regular functions, but if you want to see
Bruce in San Francisco, here's a chance!
Limited enrollment Small Group...
Bruce is a DVDA Hall of Fame icon. Bruce taught me about DVDs many years ago - and his class was awesome; it made me think of different ways to approach authoring and inspired me to help work on some early DVD games.
As a designer, learning the limitations (and where I could push) and limits of DVD authoring, Bruce's class helped me to start thinking of new ways to cut files for 8bits so that design wasn't limited by (then) standard conventions.
In this one day super session, you'll learn
- "Quick DVD" - the fastest way to author a DVD from DSP
- General Workflow tips for getting from FCP/FCS to DSP
- Normal Authoring - using the interface
- Adding Slideshows with/without music; slideshow effects
- Using Chapters intelligently (includes setting Chapters in FCS) also includes tips on how to be sure the Chapters get exported from FCS!
- Quickie Encoding... proper settings; pitfalls to avoid
- Using the Menu and Title buttons... avoiding menu "oops"
- Buttons, Buttons, Buttons - linking made easy... creating unique highlights using Overlay Files
- Layered Menus - how to make them and understand their differences
- Burning to DVD Disc - single layer, double layer,
- Duplication vs replication - issues for each, and for both
- Output workflow... output thru Compressor to multi formats...
- The Simple basics of Blu-ray (NOT creatable using DSP)
(Instructor may shorten or lengthen the topics depending on class needs during the workshop.)It's a Saturday, so you don't have to miss work to attend. (unless you work weekends). The cost is about $300, which your employer might want to pony up, cuz this class is an investment.
As of Sunday (12 midnight) there are only 8 tickets remaining. Find yours here:
