SIGGRAPH STARTS!

SIGGRAPH 2007 starts this week.   Am I there? I don't know.  Are you there? I don't know.  Should you be?

Hell yeah you should be, especially if you're in the Southern California computer animation community.... Oh wait, that's me.

Siggraph is a great place to meet programmers and serious animation code muscle.

The Expo floor is great for students and people who are new to the
community, but the REAL REASON for going to Siggraph is the catalogue
of discussion panels.

You don't need to know how to break down Reynold's Transport Theorem or
even understand basic Euler forumlae in order to attend the lectures
(but in some, it helps).   Some of the lectures are about the
process of animation - which is just as important as how to make your
computer create those pixel dynamics.

Check out the Siggraph website for a list of the courses offered at this year's show:http://www.siggraph.org/s2007/attendees/courses/

UPDATE: Yes, I will be there.  Be sure to subscribe to the thread on the left EVENTS to see more posts and reviews next week.
