Apple Applications @ NAB

Apple announced all of its pro applications this morning at the NAB
Convention.  With a brand new application added to Final Cut Studio,
all of the little upgrades add up to a really sweet professional
software bundle....

The new software comes accompanied by an announcement for the new Final Cut Server, which (although it won't deliver next month like FCP will) stands to put Apple into a position of media mangement for both Mac and PC.

Listing for $1,999 for one server and unlimited client licenses this will certainly gain more than just a passing glance from top professional studios, especially the attendees of the NAB convention, those broadcasters who have to deal with hundreds and thousands of video clips every day.

The media management of the server automatically produces proxies while it digitizes the source material, making cataloguing and searching (via metadata or keywords) very easy.
