Modbook without gear
I know I said that there's not really any gaming... without any external hardware....
Of course there are external USB controllers that you can attach to your Mac... you can play Guitar Hero on your Mac if you want. But I'd want to carry around a Modbook with just the pen that fits into its holder. no controller. no external keyboard.
There is a mic and camera on the modbook, so if someone came up with a DS emulator, maybe there'd be something there...
for now I'll stick with the Kongregate flash games for the most part.
If you know of any other PEN-ONLY games, I'd like to hear them. It doesn't matter if they're free, shareware, or pay games; if they can be played by stylus alone I'm open to suggestions.

Final Cut Server is out
T
he Final Cut Server came out yesterday, and I had a chance to head down to LA's Apple HQ to see a demo.
I saw it last year at NAB, and thought WOW that's cool. Too bad the studio had purchased third party suck-ware. But suck-ware was better than vaporware, and I had to wait.
and wait.
Well, here it is a year later, and the Final Cut Server is finally gm, and shipping. And wow has it been worth the wait. Apple took their time and got all of the features into the software that will really make this the....no, THE perfect fit for all Mac SAN solutions. You know, even if you're a tiny shop with 5 workstations - Final Cut Server will rock your workflow.
The pipeline is smooth and best of all - Mac streamlined. Sure, if you want to geek out, there are plenty of ways to get to advanced scripts (more on that later).
For now, I'll just leave it as: must buy. Oh wait, that's supposed to go in my CREATIVEMAC article.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Star Wars: The Foce Unleashed, is a new game coming out in September for all consoles by LucasArts.
I first heard about this game about a year ago, when a force pre-viz trailer, was released, showing some ideas for force powers that could be used in a Star Wars game.
