on screen fluid

It looks like there will be more fluid plugins for us After Effects and other composite system users at NAB this year. It's not as if there weren't fluid choices before.... DigitalAnarchy had PSUNAMI which has been around for several years. The last studio I was at that used it was running on new G4s - it was a while ago.
Digieffects is introducing fluids, and even DigitalAnarchy themselves (or himself?) is going to introduce a new fluid plugin : FLUIDZ from speed6.... we saw them at Siggraph last year.
FLUIDZ looks pretty cool - - although most 2D compositors users need to be warned that this is FLUID DYNAMICS. Think you can control this precisely? Try grabbing some practical smoke in your hands. Lots of interesting potential. I don't know if Fluidz is coming to AE, but looks like it will be hosted in Fusion and Quantel GenQ machines at least.
See them at Plugin Pavilion next week. www.DIGITALANARCHY.com
