Art Rage : Raging brushes
Art Rage 2.5 allows those on a smaller budget to take advantage of a series of natural brushes. The Mac has several high end software packages that take advantage of tablet and stylus hardware which allows users to create beautiful digital artwork. Many artists, including students and hobbyists, might want to take a look at ArtRage. The software has many of the features that more expensive software has, and with the latest update (2.5), the software gives other options which are 10x the price a run for their money.
You can find out more about the software by checking out the Ambient Design website: http://www.ambientdesign.com/artrage.html
Stay tuned for an in-depth look at the software's features.

NAB : Now Apple Bails
NAB: National Association of Broadcasters has their annual meeting in April.. a few months off. It's a big event in Las Vegas with lots of product on show floors with demonstrations of latest/greatest, and the ability to figure out what does what, or at least get a taste of it.
This year, Avid decided that it would spend the outrageous sums of money for the floor space in the Las Vegas Convention Center. Everyone "oo'd", speculating that it indicated something about the prosperity of the company.
This week, apparently Apple has confirmed the rumor that it, too, wouldn't be renting a large rectangular patch of carpet to show off their wares....
....more Ooooos and Hmmmmms followed this announcement.
I'm still interested in going... (Even tho' I'm an Apple fan.... I think I was only at the Apple booth for 40 minutes last year during a week of being at the show. (I don't count the 10 minutes I spent watching the FXPlug stuff demo'd by ToolFarm's Michele Yamazaki)
