GROW! with Artbeats
The first time that I saw the "Grow!" series in an email notice, it looked like "GROWL" to me. I thought that it'd be a series of video with lions and tigers... nope.
More like Dandelions and Tiger Lillies.
It's super slow motion, timelapse footage of several different kinds of footage. Check out the stuff for yourself at ARTBEATS.COM.

More Compressions Talk
http://realworldvideocompression.com/
Admittedly, there are some of us who talk about pixels daily, hourly, and constantly. There are so many different types of ways to view video content, it's no wonder there are just as many (more) discussions about how to compress those videos.
Here's yet another for your reference bookmarks... Andy Beach's commentary on the subject.

Cooler Kuler - A reminder
I just wanted to send a reminder to all of you about ADOBE KULER. It seems that every month (at least) I meet someone who has never heard of kuler (maybe I should wear my tshirt more often).
I wear my Adobe Labs tshirt around, and inevitably, someone will ask me: WHAT'S KULER? Really - there are serious Adobe users out there who don't know about this awesome color tool.
ALSO you can now extract color from an image and use kuler through Adobe AIR! Check out all of the themes too!

beatboxin' Dave
Anime Studio is from EFrontier, now turned Smith Micro. There's a bunch of community stuff that you can find around the internet. Be warned that you can lose hours of your life to some of the bad stuff, but there is a pile of fun animation out there as well. It's amazing what a simple application can do in the hands of some humourous animators... here are a couple entries from Mikedog (no, not Mike Doig: yeah I thought so too)
