SketchUp's new offering
Large Model Handling
We overhauled SketchUp's rendering engine to make it easier to work with big models. With the right setup, operations like orbiting, zooming and drawing are quicker and smoother.

Modeling in Context
Get Photo Texture gives you direct access to Google Maps Street View imagery from right inside SketchUp, and Nearby Models lets you use the Component Browser to search the Google 3D Warehouse for buildings located near the one you're working on. Watch a video (1:48) >>
Better File Exchange
COLLADA is a 3D file format based on open standards; it makes it easier to move your models between different pieces of software. KMZ is the standard file format for packaging 3D models together with information about their geographic locations. SketchUp 7.1 can import and export both types of files, which should go a long way toward letting you do whatever you like with your data.

BeejiveIM handles it all for the iPhone
If you are a chatty person, and tend to take that to the mobile device, you?re in luck! I?ll start off by telling you one App you are probably more familier with but is pretty limiting, then I?ll break into an App which is pretty Amazing.

Alienware: gaming hardware for school
Currently my favorite "Back-To-School" junk mail campaign.
School's about to start. You should think about gaming.
Alienware suggests one of their monster gamer machines: "Back-To-School with Raw Gaming". Just in time for back-to-school shopping. This is pretty damn funny. But I must admit that their machines are pretty beefy PCs, and you could probably convince your dad that some homework would get done on it... or you could convince him that he'd have some game-time too.

After Effects projects on one side, 3D projects on the other
It's a cute idea - -having a double sided USB drive. I'm not sure who is so scattered that they can't put FOLDERS on a USB stick, and figure out what goes where, but for MY-SIDE-YOUR-SIDE-KEEP-IT-SEPARATE fans, this is an interesting idea at the very least:
