A MapleStory Guide to Character Types

In the game of MapleStory, everyone starts out at a beginning level. Though the character does not initially have any special skills to help them buy mesos, basic skills such as walking, attacking or jumping are built into the character. As the game progresses, and the character progresses they will eventually begin to get a new set of skills. This usually occurs around level 8, 9, or 10. The process of acquiring this new set of skills and choosing a new “class” to belong to is called job advancement within the game of MapleStory.

Throughout the course of the MapleStory game a player can make four job advancements. Once a job advancement is made, the player will be provided with a skill book that will inform the player of the many skills they will be able to employ throughout their journey. Some job advancements require a task of skills to be performed before moving onto the next job advancement.

Here is a look at several different types of characters found throughout the game of MapleStory. These job advancements can all be earned throughout the course of the game.

MapleStory Warrior
The “warrior” class in the MapleStory game is a character that has extremely forceful attacks and also has a very strong stamina. When they fight in one on one combat the true breadth of their strength is certainly understood as they can easily handle many opponents. The “warrior” usually employs such weapons as swords, axes, blunt weapons, pole arms and spears. Also of note, is that some warriors even use magic from time to time during their attacks. The magic toting warriors are usually the Black Knights.

MapleStory Magician
The “magician” will not be as strong as the “warrior” class, but what they lack in strength, they make up for with their use of magic that can be employed at the snap of a finger. They are known to have intelligence from their tireless penchant for ancient studies. Not a class that needs a lot of weapons, they mainly rely on their staff and of course, magic!
