YouTube, after years of complaints over the size of its video player, has changed to wider size since Nov, 2008. And then did you find more complaints about the black bars around your video? Do you know the proper settings to get perfect 16:9 widescreen video for Youtube? Read on this article and you will get all answers to receive better video viewing experience on Youtube.
The Letterbox Bar and Pillarbox Bar
As you could see in the above figure, the black bars around the video (windowboxing) ruin the view experience completely. This is probably because letterboxing is added to create 4:3 video from 16:9, meanwhile, pillarboxing is also added by the widescreen player. So you are recommended to upload original 16:9 video to Youtube.
In DVD Slideshow Builder, you could easily get blackbar-free Youtube video by project settings (through Settings button on top) and settings in the Video Advanced Settings dialog, shown as below. Before saving video, make sure you have set the Resolution to 16:9 aspect ratio. Generally, 1280x720 is recommended. However, for a smaller size of video, you could use other resolutions. To decide the resolution, just divide width by the height, if the result equals to 1.777777, that is 16:9 widescreen video, which could be played perfectly on Youtube.
Note that if your media sources are in 16:9 aspect ratio, everything is perfect to make widescreen youtube video, but if mismatch ratio happens, adjustments are required. This tutorial is mainly about how to make flash xml slideshow with simple 4 steps. First you should know something about XML knowledge. If you don't know much about XML please try another free flash slideshow software. It need no xml skills and can make flash slideshow for website instantly and easily.
So the tutorial will include two parts:
Step 1: Download free flash xml slideshow source file
Download free xml source file and unzip it. The package should include images folder, xml.fla file, xml-gallery-slideshow.swf file, and images.xml file.
Step 2: Add your digital photos to image folder
Choose your favorite photos to add into image folder. There is no quantity limitation for digital photos. However, in order to get a good presentation, the size of your digital photo should not exceed 300px*200px.Step 3: Edit XML file for adding digital photos

You may got lots of digital photos, such as in wedding celebrate, family gathering, travel trip, etc. I guess most of the photos are stored in your computer and just a few of people have seen them. How to get a better way to sharing your photos with more friends and people? The best and easiest way is making a digital photo album and uploading it on website, such as MySpace, Blogger and embed on web pages.
Step 1: Install Flash Gallery Factory.
Install your the digital photo album software first. You may found there are Gallery Mode and Slideshow Mode two modes in it. To make digital photo album, you can select both modes. Here I choose Slideshow Mode.
Step 2: Import your digital photos & background music
The program will go to "Browse" tab by default .Click "Add photo" build in button to add your photos or just drag the photos to storyboard directly. And then click "Add Music" button to add background music.
Step 3: Select template for your digital photo album

The digital photo album software provides various output formats, so you can publish your digital photo album in SWF, HTML or EXE formats as you like. Step 6: Upload digital photo album on website
Upload the created SWF file to any web hosting and get the file's URL. If you don't have a personal web host, you can upload your SWF file to Google Sites for free. Then Copy and paste the following HTML code on your web page, MySpace or Blogger, so long as it supports HTML code. Then replace the red URL to the real SWF file address. You can also change the size of the flash photo album by revising the red number "264" and "550".
