The Media New Wave - something to be excited about..!

For the first post of the new year it seems fititng that I post about the New and Exciting.

Efficient, Effective, Fast, Mobile, Dynamic, Engaged, Flexible, Integrated and Self-Sufficient... This is the taxonomy of new media, reporting and journalism in the 21st century. The archaic, infelxible, antiquated, slow, segemeted and hierachical architecture of the old-guard must be done away with.

The new wave of media really is something to get excited. This project involving David Dunkley Gyimah paints that picture -

"On assignment in Cairo, courtesy of Tarek Atia of the Media Development Project, they are taken to the Old City, where in three hours David produces (shoots and edits) a story, while Robb shoots "The making of.."

David's Viewmagazine.tv should be compulsory daily reading for ever documentary filmmaker, jorunalist and media studies student on the planet. This isnt just about the excitment of new ways of working its actually about the restoration of Journalism as the pillar of social democracy, accountability and freedom of information.
