Machinima's best Collection

Few cinematic arts of the digital age offer as much broad thinking creative protential as Machinima. It has quickly grown beyond the game player bragging rights of its origins and evolved into a truly flexible and dynamic cinematic medium that is somewhere between animation, virtual cinematography and digital puppetry.

Machiniplex now offers a single location for showcasing the best of the internet's Machinima offerings. No pixelated low-fi renders here - in a slickly presented on-line video gallery Machiniplex presents some of the best examples of the art in a very well presented high-quality online environment. Its more than worth a big-screen and a comfy chair.

Comments:

Thank you very much for the acknowledgment. I've been a big fan of your blog here and your comments are much appreciated. FYI, the site was conceived of by Jason Choi, director of the machinima film "Edge of Remorse" who wanted to create a a site that featured quality machinima films. He asked Ingrid Moon and myself (Ricky Grove) to come on board and share the project with him. One idea that has been successful for us at the site is the idea of having "Premieres" for all of our new films. Somewhat like an "opening night" in the theater, we present the film on a specific date along with a real-time Q&A session with the director, usually done on Skype.

We also have just published a supporting blog for the site which we share between the three of us. The blog will feature workshops, interviews and archives of the various premieres. Perhaps you can join us at some point for a round table on machinima and the new media?
