hook your ipod up and drag them from the ipod to music on itunes it may take a while but it should work.

The right answer is-> download the new itunes. It automatically converts all your songs to PC format. Then use ImTOO or Ephod to rip the songs to your PC. Then use a converter to convert them into an MP3 or WAV.
I downloaded MacDrive7, and Ephod. My computer just wont read the mac format on my iPod.
Windows machines cannot read Mac HFS formatted drives (or any other unix format) but mac and unis system can read windows formatted drives in any flavour.
you need to copy the files off the original computer as the ipod is NOT a backup device and you will need to restore it in wondows to make it readable by windows but this erases everything off it.
you should always copy/backup the contents of your /itunes/folder on any system to a drive thats readable by all machines you use.

if windows cannot read the disk you cant use ipod transfer utilites.. you can BUY windows programs that allow the HFS and ZFS formatted drives to be read but its commercial not shareware and this would need to be done before trying ipod sharing programs.
