I. What is ISO Image?

An ISO image is an archive file (also known as a disk image) of an optical disc in a format defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This format is supported by many software vendors. ISO image files typically have a file extension of .iso. The name ISO is taken from the ISO 9660 file system used with CD-ROM media, but an ISO image can also contain UDF file system because UDF is backward-compatible with ISO 9660.

II. How to Copy DVD Movies to ISO Image on Mac?

Consider you have a DVD containing over 5,000 files. Since a folder cannot be uploaded or downloaded, you would have to upload or download each of those 5,000 files individually, which is tedious at best. You could place them to a standard ZIP file to solve the problem, but ISOs have an advantage over ZIP files. ISOs can include additional information about the original DVD. Step. 1 Open DVD Copy Pro and Insert DVD

III. How to Play ISO Image on Mac for free

After copying, there are Four ways to play ISO Image on Mac:
1.You can click the icon of ISO to play the ISO Image.

2. you can open the VLC media player and drag the ISO file to the VLC menu. Double click to start playing.

3.Run the DVD Player, choose FILE > OPEN DVD Media, select you ISO file, and that is OK!

4.Just recur to Front Row to play your ISO Image:
Put ISO file into a folder with a movies name, and then put this folder into the Movies Folder. Now you can play ISO Image with Front Row of your Mac.
Now you can enjoy your ISO Image on Mac!
