How to convert video files via VFW codec?-DivX codec is also referred
In principle, all the video converters in the market have their own built-in codec, while sometimes users do not want to use these native codec, but rather use a codec purchased from third party or developed by themselves. For users have this kind of needs, my article will take VFW codec for instance, and aims to introduce you how to transfer your video files with VFW codec via Pavtube Video Converter.(Meanwhile, DivX codec will be mentioned in a certain part of this article, if it is what you are looking for, just do not miss it.)
First of all, wed better have a brief understanding of VFW. VFW is short for Video for Windows, which is an early Windows video codec format first introduced in November 1992, and has been in use ever since. It is installed on Windows system, and usually used in AVI format, and can be seen by all application programs, so that it allows software developers working on the Windows platform to add the ability to play or manipulate videos to their own applications.
Well, now, lets move on with the process of converting video files with VFW codec through Pavtube Video Converter.
Once you have launched this program, add your video files to it, and then select Common video in the drop-down list of Format, after that opt for an AVI format, please pay attention, only AVI format here allows you using VFW codec to encode your files.

Afterwards, click Settings, the following interface will pop up. Check a VFW codec for your files, here I choose IR45 for example.

As soon as you have chosen a VFW codec, you will find that some parameters like aspect ratio, frame rate can be adjusted in the following window, while bit rate is disabled, at this time you can click Config to set your encoder settings.

After clicking Config, you will see the interface below, and set the parameters on it according to your own requirements. If you are insightful enough, you may have found this VFW codec does not support changing bit rate, so let it go, and just do what you are permitted.

Okay, thats all about setting video parameters; next, Ill talk about how to amend video images if they are reversed during the course of encoding. This issue often occurs when the output image pixels of Pavtube Video Converter are inconsistent with the ones that the encoder requires. Take it easy, we can use image reversal function to fix it: flip the videos from left to right or up to down, until they are coincident.

By the way, for more and more people wanna use DivX codec to encode HD videos, here Id like mention something about it. Actually, the steps of using DivX codec to encode videos via Pavtube are as simple as that of VFW. In the first place, you should have a DivX codec installed on your PC, if not, please download from this link: http://www.divx.com/en/downloads/divx/win. In addition, one more point must be emphasized that the same with VFW codec, to enable DivX codec available, you have to set the output format as AVI, otherwise, you can not find out the DivX codec. In the identical access as VFW, by pressing button Settings, you are able to go into Profile panel, and get hold of DivX codec.

Also, when it comes to video parameter setting, bit rate can not be
adjust in
the following window, so you have to go to Config to
reset
them.
Enter Config, this interface will appear, you can change rate control mode and bite rate here, or press tags like Codec, Video to set other parameters inside them.

audio
Supported Digital Audio Standards: AAC, AMR, MP3, WAV,
AAC +, eAAC+
In addition to copy protections (CSS, AACS, BD+),
DVD movies, especially the Blu-rays always has large file size, so we need a

own reputation in this field. The one who does not have Blu-ray movie

How to convert TiVo files to other video formats

TiVo
files are saved by digital video recorders in their proprietary format with
copyright protection, so it's technically impossible to play recorded TV
programs on other players without format conversion. I often record some
wonderful parts of TV shows while watching them with my TiVo HD DVR. I guess
you guys may do the same thing as I do. Recording is easy, but playing these
TiVo files on some portable devices is totally unavailable due to the copyright
and format issues.Furthermore, you can also rip DVD audio to Apple
TV music like MP3, AAC, and WAV. Now please find a step-to-step guide to
convert DVD to play on Apple TV.
Because of this, I have to look for a video converter
to do format conversion. After tested approximately 10 products, I finally
purchased Pavtube Video Converter. The reason that I chose it is that among all
the products Ive tried, it is the only one that worked well on my Windows 7
64bit, and consistently synchronized audio and video channels correctly, while
other programs always have problems one or another, like giving me error
messages time and time again, or only have audios in the resulted files.
Pavtube does not have these issues, so it won my appreciation. I would like to
share my own experience on how to using it to convert TiVo files to other video
formats, like MP4, WMV, AVI, FLV, etc. in this
post.
Requirements:
1. TiVo Desktop
2. Pavtube Video
Converter
First of all, you should transfer your recorded files
which you want to convert to other formats from your TiVo box to your personal
PC via TiVo Desktop.
Open TiVo Desktop, click "Pick Recordings to
Transfer" to transfer TV shows to your PC. The TiVo Desktop will prompt when
the transfer is finished.

By ripping DVD to AVI
files, you get much smaller file which can be used for editing and played on
portable devices like Archos and Pocket PC
Then
do as the following instruction shown:
Step 1: Run Pavtube Video
Converter, and import TiVo files to it
Once you run this program, you
will see the main interface as below. You are allowed to click "Add" button to
load TiVo files into this utility.

Step
2: Select output format and set save path
Click the drop-down
list of "Format" to select an output format according to your end use of the
output files: add to iPhone for playback, you can select MP4 or MOV; import to
BlackBerry for entertainment, you can choose AVI, WMV, or MP4; insert to PPT
for presentation, you can select WMV or MPG; upload to your personal blogs or
video-sharing website, you can select FLV, etc. All in all, you can choose
whatever format as you like. Here I choose the .mp4 format for my PS3 as an
example.

Meanwhile,
you can click the folder icon at the end of "Output" to specify where to locate
the output files. If you want to combine all the TiVo files you added into
this program to be as a single file, you can tick the checkbox "Merge into one
file".
Step 3: Set advanced settings
If you want
to adjust the audio and video parameters of your TiVo files, you can click
"Settings" button to do it. The following pop-up window allows you to change
codec, the figures of bit rate, frame rate, sample rate, etc. so that you can
do advanced settings according to your own requirements. Generally speaking,
the larger figures generate larger file size but better quality; the smaller
values produce smaller file size but inferior image quality. If you are not
good at this step, you can totally skip it.

Step
4: Convert
As soon as the above mentioned steps are finished,
you can click "Convert" button to start conversion, and the output files can be
found via click "Open" button after conversion task is done.
Well,
again, my pleasure to share my own experience here, hope it is helpful.
