Looks like the iPhone 3G S is pretty popular, with inventory going out the door faster than stock is coming in.  So before you head out to pick one up, use Apple's iPhone 3GS Inventory tool to see if there is one available (including the model/size) at your home state's store.  If it's sold out, have a family member or friend in another state get one, if it's available there!
