I came across an official anti-spam account from Twitter HQ today, Twitter.com/Spam (FOLLOW!), which helps you fight off the spammers and scammers.  For instance, we've all seen the ads online (not at Twitter itself) claiming you can get thousands of Twitter followers, just enter your account info.  PHISHER, WATCH OUT!

Another example is if you RT (Re-Tweet) a spammer's Tweet--you may end up getting suspended!

Again, FOLLOW Twitter.com/Spam NOW!  I haven't been hijacked, nor have I been hijacked on Facebook; but MySpace?  Yeah a few times, without me even doing something stupid.  Sometimes it was just a hacked account that if you clicked on it, you'd end up getting phished automatically.  These accounts exist everywhere, including Twitter I hear.
