RED announced a hardware solution to decode, debayer and playback 4K and 5K footage in real time, at 30 fps (frames per second) an 25 fps, respectively.  No need to downconvert the footage to less than 4K or 5K resolution, and you can edit in your favorite NLE, like Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Vegas, Avid, etc.

It'll cost $5,000; check out RED founder Jim Jannard's announcement here.  It should be available in 2 months, but RED never guarantees the specs or delivery dates.
