Will Apple Make Affordable Netbook Laptop?

Steve Jobs said that Apple isn't currently planning on an affordable "netbook" laptop, claiming the market for such laptops is "evolving." But he said they have "some pretty interesting ideas" if the market were to evolve, and I'm safely assuming Apple will then put out their own version. Pretty interesting ideas? I'm wondering if it'll be touch screen!
