Drobo: A Great Storage Solution

A colleague of mine just purchased two Drobos, which is a RAID array of drives, but much easier to use, and he loves them. It works with Mac, Windows and Linux, so you've got full support. Plus, the price ain't bad.
You can easily fit up to 4 TB of hard drive space into four drive slots, and it's really easy to use, unlike other RAIDs. It uses FireWire 800 (aka, iLink) and USB 2, so it's lightning fast. It uses technology called
BeyondRAID that simplifies things vs. traditional RAID.
This is perfect for video editors, graphic designers, animators, or just simply storing and backing up your data. For Mac owners, it works well with OS X Leopard's Time Machine. It store a whole heckuva lot more than just that. Plus, the data is safe and secure. Find out more at
Drobo.com. Check out a
cool demo here.
