Adobe Will Release A Flash Beta For iPhone, Other Smart Phones
Adobe Will Release A Flash Beta For iPhone, Other Smart Phones

Adobe has confirmed they are releasing a beta version of Flash 10 for the iPhone and other smart phones' browsers/OS's, including Android and others.  Get the scoop at whatsoniphone.com.  All I can say is, about darn time!  We're up to the third version of the iPhone and only now we're getting copy/cut and paste and Flash.  Hey, I shouldn't complain--it's nice to see it!

Comments:

The article you are referring to says Flash WILL NOT be released for the iPhone. Am I missing something?

Quoted: Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen confirmed that Adobe will release a beta version of Flash Player 10 for a number of smartphone browsers, including Windows Mobile, Android, Palm WebOS, and Symbian devices. Guess who isn't on the list?!

According to the news "Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen confirmed that Adobe will release a beta version of Flash Player 10 for a number of smartphone browsers, including Windows Mobile, Android, Palm WebOS, and Symbian devices."

The iPhone is not in the list.

The article you link to says specifically that adobe has left the iPhone off the list of smartphones it is developing flash for!

i'm sorry to inform you, but the source you chose (a fairly old one) says that apple is NOT included in the list of phones getting flash.

Did you even read that link?

I was initially glad to read this, but you're reporting incorrect information based on a misread of the headline from the article you source.

I had already read the What's On iPhone article, so I was hoping that Adobe had a change of heart or clarification of their own. But I'm disappointed that this is not the case.

The What's On iPhone article's title reads:
"Flash Player For iPhone..."

It appears that you read the headline without reading the article. The substance of the article is exactly the contrary. It reads, in part:

"Flash Player 10 for a number of smartphone browsers, including Windows Mobile, Android, Palm WebOS, and Symbian devices. Guess who isn't on the list?! "

The iPhone isn't on the list.

It said it wasn't for the iPhone.
