Being that I'm an Iron Man geek, this reminds me of an armor Tony Stark used in 1993, called the Telepresence Unit, which he controlled with his thoughts.  Long story short, Stark was "dead," but actually frozen and when he was "thawed," he couldn't control his body, so he used the T.P.U. Iron Man.
