Someone put up a Periodic Table of Remote Controls over the years, over at Flickr.  I think that's pretty cool!

I'm old enough to recognize a few of these.  Hell, I remember my dad bought one of the first VCRs and the remote was attached by a cable to the unit!  AND it had both  fast-forward/rewind buttons and search forward/reverse (for when you're playing the video and want to scan through it fast).  That's OLD!
