Circuit City files for Bankruptcy

If you were looking for sales at Circuit City, now might be the time to get into the stores!  CC has just filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and will be closing all of its 155 stores across the US.  I think that pretty soon we will be buying all our electronics from one store.... Buy N' Large (it's a Wall-E reference)!

Comments:

the folks that work there need jobs, better his the job boards guys!

www.linkedin.com (professional networking)
www.indeed.com (aggregated listings)
www.realmatch.com (matches jobs based on your skills)

Good luck to the circuit city folks!

Your comment is mis-worded. Circuit City operates over 700 store locations. And they announce the closing of 155 stores last Monday and filed for Bankruptcy today. This does not mean the whole chain is closing down. K-Mart filed for bankruptcy back in '02 and there are still plenty of K-Mart's around.

Let's not lose sight of the fact that Circuit City has been getting hammered for years. Best Buy offers better pricing, selection and service in a physical store and Internet stores offer infinite selection and better prices. This is just another example of a bad company that can't survive a downturn.
