Confirmed: Iron Man Blu-ray Sales HUGE!
 I had reported that the Iron Man Blu-ray disc (BD) sales were huge, and the numbers are coming back and confirming that. While I Am Legend's BD sales represented around 9% of total DVD/BD sales, Iron Man's BD sales may reach as high as 30% (!!) of DVD/BD sales! Store by store is a different story: some retailers are saying Iron Man BDs hit 50% of sales, while Amazon.com and DeepDiscount.com said the BD was outselling the DVD. Amazing! And remember, this is a movie based on a Marvel character that wasn't widely known until last year at Comic-Con when Iron Man footage blew the roof off the place. Over the course of the first week there were 7.2 million copies of Iron Man sold on DVD. Only 500,000 were sold on Blu-Ray.
So basic math dictates:
7.7 million discs sold... 93.5% DVD, 6.5% Blu-Ray.
DOH! Not only is it not 30%, it's not even 10%.
