The game uses contacts on your headband to monitor Alpha and Theta brainwaves; the less activity the more the ball moves. Behind the opponent there is a display that shows the brainwave activity of the participants. Here is a shot of NASA astronaut Buzz Aldrin playing against Jay Lauf, publisher of Wired Magazine. It reminds me of something you might see two aliens playing in the background in that bar on Star Trek: The Next Generation.
