When you go to buy your iPhone 3G, your old iPhone, if you have one, can be handed down.  AppleInsider explains how you can turn it into a WiFi iPod (or just let someone else use it with a new SIM card).  That's one thing you can do; the other is to donate it to the Heath McKnight iPhone fund.  *Cough*
