That's right, you can use a mobile phone that features motion sensors to capture data. Most any phone with a MEMS (Micro-electro mechanical systems) Accelerometer can capture motion data into rx, ry,rz animation data and tx,ty,tz position data and then converted to Vicon C3D, Autodesk FBX and Acclaim AMC & ASF, and Maya MEL.
