more and more new social communities. "Meez?"
more and more new social communities. "Meez?"

How many of these social online communities can be supported?   With sites like SECOND LIFE and ENTROPIA as already established worlds - I'm surprised to see more of these popping up.

In a new social online world for teens and young adults I see that 50 Cent has a virtual office (where you can listen and PURCHASE music from iTunes) in Meezville. huh?

I like the avatars here, but I haven't gone inworld to see if the animations are as smooth as they are on the landing page for meez.

Check it out for yourself...

“The number one request from our community of more than 7 million users has been to add a virtual world,” said Sean Ryan, CEO of MeezTM. “Meez Nation is a significant addition to our already potent mix of 3D avatars, a virtual economy and casual games.  It will significantly boost user involvement and brand engagement on Meez.”

Meez Nation is comprised of a variety of neighborhoods, each offering a range of locales that users can explore, including public hangouts and personal Roomz that owners can custom-decorate and share with friends.  Neighborhoods include:

·         Meez Nation’s entry point neighborhood, Burbia
·         The blissful beaches and laidback lounges of Chillville
·         Luxurious and exclusive Posh Heights
·         Metropolitan Uptown
·         A creative, other-worldly paradise called Arcadia
·         The energetic party-scene at Hell’s Kitchen

Meez Nation is designed to let everyday users easily connect with others and share experiences. Residents can chat with one another, watch YouTube videos together, listen to music and leave answering machines messages.  By typing various text triggers such as “LOL,” “OMG” or “dance,” Meez users can launch animations to amuse others in Roomz.  There are also numerous interactive objects spread around Meez Nation to inject fun into the scene, including walls that can be tagged with graffiti and a Tesla coil that zaps users.

Meez Nation is also integrated into Meez’s virtual economy, so people can use Coinz, the Meez virtual currency, to decorate their Roomz with premium, branded items, send gifts to Roomz owners and gain access to exclusive neighborhoods.

At launch, Meez Nation will include 50 Cent’s virtual office, an energized environment where fans can listen to a single from his upcoming album, engage in an animated rap battle and click a link to iTunes to purchase 50 Cent’s music.

In addition to providing unique promotional environments for music artists, Meez Nation also offers brands and advertisers powerful new opportunities for reaching an enthusiastic population of teens and college-aged youth. Meez’s metrics-driven Brand Immersion Packages for top brands like Nike, Snapple, Sony and Cover Girl have allowed users to express their brand preferences by selecting branded virtual items—with the option to purchase the real-world item only a few mouse clicks away. Meez Nation enables the creation of brand environments that result in prolonged user engagement and interactive opportunities that deliver on advertiser goals.

“Meez was able to extend the popularity of LG's Rally For Music campaign by giving users tools to express their affinity for music in an innovative way that spotlighted LG's popular music phones,” said Niels Aillaud, Digital Marketing Manager at LG MobileComm USA.
