Guinness World Records Eyeing Potential Record Breaking GTA IV Launch According to Game Daily, GTA IV could very well start breaking Guinness world records upon its launch later tonight! With the launch of the hugely anticipated Grand Theft Auto IV nearly upon us (April 29), the folks at Guinness World Records stated that they will be "closely watching" the game's release "as a potential record-breaking phenomenon." A recent report predicted that GTA IV would generate an incredible $400 million in its first week on the market, essentially obliterating Halo 3's $300 million record. The GTA franchises has already set numerous records since the launch of GTA III. Here's the list from Guinness:
