Two OC companies partner to bring HD sound to a Bluetooth headset
SRS Labs, Inc. , and IOGEAR are working together to bring SRS WOW HD technology to IOGEAR's Bluetooth Audio Transport headset. According to the companies, SRS WOW HD will improve the audio performance of content played on any Bluetooth-enabled audio device.
IOGEAR's Bluetooth Audio Transport lets you listen to your tunes and audio wirelessly from any Bluetooth enabled device, including MP3 players and mobile phones, even computers and home stereo systems. The range of IOGEAR's product is 33 feet so you have some mobility.
According to SRS labs, its SRS WOW HD technology improves the audio performance of compressed music files by expanding the size of the perceived audio image. Hocus Pocus? Not sure as I haven't heard an SRS based product since the mid 1990s, and back then it was marginally better than what would come out of a typical stereo speaker. The Bluetooth Audio Transport is $89.
