Sandio 3D mouse for 3D gameplay, Google Earth
First it was 3D glasses, then 3D games, and now a 3D Mouse? Sandio Technologys new 3D Game O2, released this month, is a 3D mouse that offers what the company calls 6 Degrees-of-Freedom, and can be used with all 3D applications. The mouse has a joystick that enables you to move the cursor along the X, Y, and Z axes. It works with applications such as 3ds max and Maya, as well as 3D virtual worlds and MMORPG games, Microsoft Virtual Earth 3D, Second Life, Google Sketchup, Microsoft Photosynth, as well as more than 40 3D games.
The mouse is priced at around $80, and features programmable keys, multiple DPI levels (400 to 2000 dpi), with on the fly dpi adjustment, on-board LED lights and more. Check sandiotech.com for more info.
