The SanDisk Cruzer Contour 4GB USB Flash drive is a simple easy-to-use flash drive that is designed to be both compatible with Windows ReadyBoost, with up to 18 MB/s write speeds and 25 MB/s, and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. With a silver underside that keeps the shape of the drive cradles the piano black sliding mechanism that houses 4GB of memory. The drive is designed without a removable cap, in order to expose the USB part of the drive you slide the inner case down and then back up, each position that the device slides in has a locking click so although it feels like you?re going to slide the drive out of the case completely you?re not. Sliding the drive can but a bit hard to do even though there are three grooves that help with gripping the slider, sliding the drive is best done with really dry hands. To cover the USB part of the drive you slide the device up into a locking position and then back down to the original position.

The removable cap part of the drive is replaced by a small door that matches the exterior metal shell of the drive. The drive enclosure is very durable, I had it in my pocket with keys for a day and it stood up very well the metal remained unscathed while the sliding part of the drive did pick up some scratches but they weren?t visible while looking at the drive straight on. One thing missing from the drive is a guide for a key ring or a loop tether, which I found somewhat off because all of the drives that I have key links on them that tell me what they?re used for. SanDisk makes up for this missing loop by providing a small carrying case that has a clasp for linking to a tether or keys or whatever you choose. 

The SanDisk Cruzer Contour 4GB USB flash drive is a great addition to anybody's pocket for those files, folders, movies, pictures, almost anything that you feel like moving or sharing with anyone it can be done with this drive. The drive also has the U3 Smart software partitioned into it so you can install your own programs on the drive so that you can use familiar programs and even familiar desktops.
