Flickr adds video snippets

Rather than try to compete with YouTube, Yahoo's Flickr is aiming for a more casual audience that just wants to share personal photos or videos with friends. To that end, it is allowing the uploading of videos up to 90 seconds or 150 MB. [Read More]

Chef's Choice Hot Water

It's not that cold out.  Well, if you're from Southern California, you might consider it cold outside.  It's below 70ºF, and it's time for some hot tea.

Even during the summer, when you want hot water in the morning, it's nice to have this kettle around.  I'm in and out of the kitchen, and sometimes when I think of a pot of tea, I'd boil water and forget about it.

This thing shuts off when it's done boiling, so I don't have to worry about keeping the headphones off, waiting for the whistle to blow, then jumping up to fetch it when it does.  Also, it's fast... so it's a sure bet that a quick stretch of the legs, double checking to see if the last piece posted, and a stroll back to the kitchen will mean that water is hot and ready for some tea.

I love the Chef's Choice kettle - cuz it's the one I have.  There may be others, but once you get this one, you're  not going to go looking for an alternative .
