Flip Video versus iPod nano
Flip Video versus iPod nano

The folks over at Newteevee.com did a side by side comparison of Apple's new iPod nano versus the Flip Ultra HD. While the nano has way more going for it in terms of usability, the Newteevee test shows that the dedicated Flip Ultra SD video camera outputs a superior video image. I am a Flip video user, and the camera is indeed super easy to use and offers up a decent video image for the price. Apple kills Shake
Apple kills Shake

Goodbye Shake. Apple has apparently EOL'd its Shake compositing tool after only seven years  since it acquired it. The application, which originally ran on Linux, Windows, and the IRIX operating systems was acquired back in 2002 by Apple. Subsequent versions were ridiculously repriced for non Mac operating systems, while the Apple version, coupled with a machine to run it on, came out to be about the same price as non-Mac users were forced to pay.
