Yellowstone's Churning Caldron

 

One of the more interesting volcanic geysers in Yellowstone park is the Churning Caldron.
A seemingly perpetual boiling pond of what could be Gaia's Milk, this geyser
clearly demonstrates to onlookers just how close you are to the the volcanic fire under Yellowstone.


You approach this geyser pool and its large size surprises


The air is heavy with the smell of sulpher


It boils and churns and bubbles...
